Is the safety analysis really free?
Yes. The avalanche/slope/aspect/weather verdict, the conditions ribbon, live tracking, crew positions, and SOS are all in the free tier and always will be. We don't think anyone should hit a paywall between themselves and a safety call. Pro is for the power-user tooling on top — chiefly the route builder.
When does Pro start, and what if I change my mind?
Pro unlocks the moment you subscribe — you're billed $59.99 for the year up front. If it's not for you, email support@highloop.co within 7 days and we'll get you a full refund, no questions asked. After that, cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; you keep Pro until the year ends, then drop back to the (fully functional) free tier.
Is there a monthly plan?
No — Pro is annual only. One subscription, once a year, keeps the pricing honest and the math simple. The free tier is fully functional, so you can try Strata as long as you like before you commit to the year — and the 7-day money-back guarantee has your back if Pro isn't what you expected.
What happens to my saved routes if I cancel Pro?
Nothing is deleted. If you're over the free-tier save limit when Pro ends, your extra routes become read-only — you can still open and tour them, you just can't save new ones past the limit until you re-subscribe or remove some.

We back Pro with a 7-day money-back guarantee: email support@highloop.co within 7 days of subscribing and we'll make sure you get a full refund. Refunds for App Store subscriptions are processed by Apple — you can also request one anytime at reportaproblem.apple.com, and we don't dispute reasonable requests beyond the 7-day window either.
