Indian Portage Trail

Indian Portage is a 9.8-mile out-and-back hike in the Michigan backcountry near Houghton Township, gaining roughly 909 feet of cumulative elevation. The route begins at the Indian Portage trailhead as an out-and-back, retracing the approach on the return. Elevations along the route span roughly 600–810 feet.
